Floral jacket

Jacket- H&M Conscious Collection
Dress- New Look (charity shop)
Bag- New Look
Shoes- Office
Jewellery- gifts

I LOVE MY JACKET!

Well its actually supposed to be a top that zips at the back but I prefer it as a jacket. It does sit slightly weird sometimes due to it not technically being a jacket but hey ho. I got it in Denmark when I was over and its part of their conscious collection, which to sum up is clothing made in the greenest possible way. Theres a bit more about it here.

This dress used to have a sheer sleeve on one arm but I cut that off because..

1) I wanted a new dress but didnt want to buy a new one
2) I needed material for one of my uni projects

killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Ive really used this clutch too much that the clasp has broken.. not too handy buut I hide the chain inside and use it as a clutch so it doesnt really matter if it doesnt shut properly, well thats my justification of that..

Happy weekend everyone :)

Aztec and love hearts...

Shirt- Forever21 hand-me-down
Skirt- H&M (charity shop)
Shoes- New Look
Bag- Accessorize
Necklaces- charity shop
Belt- Vintage

How cool is this shirt? My old flatmate gave it to me/i stole it out of her wardrobe when she was having a clear out and i seriously cant get enough of it. I think its the colour.. or the print.. maybe just both.

This skirt is a bit too young girl for me so I added a big belt, big heels, lots of necklaces and a clutch to try and make it look a little less 'I actually bought this out of H&M kids section' like and more like 'nice skirt' like.

Hope everyones had a good weekend :)

Its my birthday and i'll wear a short dress if I want to...

Dress- Monki
Shoes- New Look
Bag- Topshop
Watch- Vintage
Bracelets and Ring- Gifts

My friends threw me a wee surprise birthday night out the other day so this was a 'throw together and run out the door' outfit. I really dont like proclaiming to the World its my birthday so black was the perfect choice to blend into the background. And as Karl Lagerfeld once said;

'One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress'

.. Gads I love Karl.

I love all things pink, sparkly and feminine so added this coloured bag, pink nails, coral lips and rose ring. The only down side about this bag is that its suede and therefore gets sooo mucky if I put it down anywhere so its either being clenched between my teeth, between my knees or under my arm, slightly awkward but I love it too much not to take it out!

I've pretty much lived in this dress the past few weeks, its a tie around dress buttoned at the front with kimono sleeves. It didnt sit well on the hanger at all, since it wasnt tied at the waist and just looked like a sack, but the sleeves reminded me of Geisha's style and I was feeling brave. In the end, I should really feel brave when im shopping if it picks me up nice dresses like this.

Salmon knit

Dress- Primark (charity shop)
Cardi- Topshop (charity shop)
Heels- New Look
Bag- Accessorize
Belt- Vintage
Watch- vintage
Bracelets- gifts

Theres nothing like a comfy t-shirt dress to lounge around in when going to drinks with friends. I've never worn a cardi out before and there were a few comments including 'going to your grans for a cuppa afterwards' and 'is that really a cardi? Are you really wearing a cardi in a club?' but whats the point in fashion if you dont have fun?

Hope everyones dreaded Monday wasnt too bad :)

Bow Blouse

Shirt- F&F Tesco (hand-me-down)
Shorts- Urban Outfitters
Brogues- New Look (old)
Bag- gift
Scarf- vintage
Bracelet- gift
Watch- gift

I love making a bag different by adding a scarf to the straps, does anyone else do that?
My flatmate and myself did a brutal clear out of our wardrobes and i stole this off of her before she threw it out. Florence and Fred at Tesco have some really nice items, supermarkets are defiantly increasing from the plain £2.50 tee's to Gok Wan!

This scarf reminds me of the British colours, so thought i should maybe incorporate the colours into some outfits as the Jubilee weekend starts tomorrow.. excited!

I hit the West End when i was home a few days back, and i love the vintage stores and charity shops there, Vintage Guru on Byers Road is defiantly one of the best. I got this scarf there as well as a few other items i'll show later :)

scones and pj's...

Blazer- New Look
Shirt- Primark (charity shop)
Skirt- Urban Outfitters (old)
Bag- Urban Outfitters
Shoes- River Island
Watch- gift

Isn't exam season just awful? I've been swamped with coursework and exams recently and I never really thought a baby pink and hot pink leopard print onesie was socially acceptable, especially on a blog.. (i've not left it in the last few days.) So my apologies for a severe lack of blogging!

This outfit is a throw on, run out, grab food and coffee, run back outfit so very basic with a blazer just thrown over to smarten it up. Its amazing how much a blazer can smarten something up, I left my black blazer in the library the other week and have been lost without it!

This week my flatmate and myself made white chocolate and blueberry scones.. they tasted as good as they sound, trust me!

  • 225g self raising flour

    55g butter

    25g caster sugar

    150ml milk

200g white chocolate (broken into pieces)

    3 handfuls of blueberries

    1 egg, beaten

Heat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

Mix together the flour and salt and rub in the butter

Stir in the sugar and then add in chocolate pieces and blueberries.

Add in the milk and kneed into a soft dough.

Turn on to a floured work surface and peel apart the dough into just

short of palm shape sizes (should make about 7) and place on baking sheet. (probably best to use cutter to get a good shape, but we never so could work either way.)

Brush the tops of the scones with the beaten egg. Bake for 12-15

minutes until well risen and golden.

    Enjoy :)

Hope for those who have exam season that its going ok!

Bows and blues

Dress- H&M
Trench- H&M (old)
Bag- H&M (old)
Boots- Office

I love H&M and its pretty obvious since pretty much everything im wearing here is from there, although their sizing is really dodgy, does anyone else get this?

I love the colour of this dress and the bows just cuten it up so much. My flatmate wants me to wear spikes and studs with it (shows the difference between our styles.)

So today I had a hand in date and a presentation and now im free for a a day till i need to start studying, so this is what i wore to Yo Sushi for lunch followed by shopping, i love my days off especially when they end in a night out.

Hope your weeks going well :)
